Our Services

Hands-on instruction across six core modules, from situational awareness to operational mindset, tailored to your team and terrain.
On-site Threat Vulnerability Assessment of your property. Focused on routines, best practices, and vulnerabilities, with clear, actionable recommendations to reduce risk.

Physical Security Audits
Most audits are checklist driven. At Nomad International, we review your property from the perspective of those most likely to target it, how they'd do it, and whether your mitigation strategies are effective against these threats.
Our Silent Watch training program is built from six core modules and are taught alongside your team on your terrain, not simply lectured at them from a slide deck.
Training Modules - Silent Watch
Human & Environmental Cues
Baseline behavior, anomalies, and calm action, covering kinesics, proxemics, atmospherics, and geographics in plain language.
Situational Awareness
More than a buzzword. Build real intuition without superstition, and develop lasting resilience.
Operational Mindset
Building the discipline, focus, and adaptability to perform reliably when conditions get difficult.
Psychology of Leadership Under Stress
Presence over performance. Field-tested tools adapted for both conservation and corporate teams.
Practical Intelligence Fundamentals
Plan, direct, collect, process, produce, and disseminate. Turn observations into action for teams and leaders.
Cyber Hygiene
MFA, passwords, Wi-Fi, VPNs, phishing, and mobile safety, with practical checklists for mixed tech literacy.
Advisory & Consulting Retainers
At Nomad International, your retainer gives you a standing line to intelligence-trained judgment before critical decisions get made, so risk gets caught before it’s too late.
Know what to expect. Be ready.
We start by understanding the challenges our clients face: what they look like, how they develop, and why they happen, so we can build customized solutions. From there, we develop practical skills your team can use under pressure.
About
Michael Stohner leads Nomad International after two decades in U.S. Army Special Forces, where his work spanned partner force training, intelligence operations, and full spectrum special warfare across four continents. That operational background shapes everything Nomad does today: how training is designed, how vulnerabilities are assessed, and how we work alongside the people responsible for keeping others safe. Michael holds a certificate in security management, adding a civilian security credential to his operational background.
Nomad International serves two connected markets. For wildlife ranger teams, anti-poaching units, and reserve leadership, we build situational awareness, field intelligence, and coordination skills through Silent Watch™, our proprietary framework translating Special Forces and Intelligence Community tradecraft into practical conservation tools. For schools, private facilities, and organizations, we provide physical security assessments, red team engagements, and threat vulnerability audits grounded in that same real-world experience. We have delivered a threat vulnerability assessment for Hanahau'oli School in Honolulu, and our red team work has also identified critical security gaps for a major utility provider. We continue to work with schools, nonprofits, and reserve teams across both markets. Additionally, Michael serves as an active member of Threat Team Hawaii, a think tank and advisory council on behavioral threat assessments to prevent violence. In the conservation space, we are a preferred partner of Global Conservation Force.
